Ciara Sherrod
instructor

Ciara Sherrod was raised right here in White House, Tennessee, where her love for dance really took off. Ciara began her journey into dance starting with ballet and tap at the age of 3. As she continued to grow, she
began to train in jazz, hip-hop, lyrical, contemporary and modern.  She danced on the competition level from ages 10 to 18, and won numerous awards for several group and solo performances. During this time, she was accepted to the Rockettes summer intensive in NYC!

Ciara went on to continue her dancing career at the collegiate level at Western Kentucky University.  She graduated Cum Laude with a BA in Dance and minor in Performing Arts Administration.  While studying
at WKU, Ciara performed with the WKU Dance Company for two years where she was cast in several roles.  During this time, Ciara attended the Joffery Ballet School Jazz and Hip-Hop summer intensive in New York City. Ciara also had the opportunity to study abroad in Civitavecchia, Italy where she performed with the WKU Dance Company with the Balletto di Civitavecchia.

Ciara became very involved with her Sorority, Alpha Xi Delta, where she danced and choreographed for fundraising events, such as, Shenanigans and for the Greek Week event, Spring Sing.

Since graduation from WKU, Ciara has continued to share her love for dance by teaching hip-hop, lyrical, ballet, and jazz. She is so excited for the opportunity to share her knowledge and passion for dance with
her students at 918!
